The impact of the Sistema Nacional de Cadastro (SNC) project (2014-2019)

This paper will examine the impacts of Timor-Leste’s most recent land registration process, the Sistema Nacional de Cadastro (SNC) which ran from 2014 until 2019 and collected some 350,000 claims to land. The paper will examine the impacts of this process on the population at large, paying particular attention to women and vulnerable groups.
